Dr. Jianguo Tao is an Assistant Researcher at Muyuan Laboratory and is currently based at the School of Engineering, Westlake University, China, working with Prof. Jian Yang. He received his Ph.D. jointly from the School of Life Sciences, Westlake University and Zhejiang University, and completed postdoctoral training under Profs. Lianping Xing and Brendan F. Boyce at the Center for Musculoskeletal Research, University of Rochester Medical Center, USA. His multidisciplinary research spans musculoskeletal genetics, molecular epidemiology, pathological mechanisms, and iPSCs/biomaterial-based tissue engineering for musculoskeletal disorders, with a focus on osteoporosis, sarcopenia, and cartilage repair. Recent recognitions of his research include ASBMR Young Investigator Award, Young Investigator Travel Grant and Family Care Grant, ICMRS Webster Jee Young Investigator Award, ICMRC Young Investigator Award, and Ruiou Young Scholar Visiting Grant from the Hope for Rare Foundation. His long-term goal is to synergize interdisciplinary insights to translate mechanistic discoveries driven by large-scale population data into innovative therapeutic strategies for musculoskeletal diseases.
